Long View State Park

Be one with the outdoors. Be reclaimed by nature.

About Our Parks

Long View State Park is located in the N̸͉͒ę̴̎w̸͖̾ ̶̡̅E̴̩͑n̴͓̾g̶̞̀ļ̶̊ǎ̴͓ń̵̪ḏ̶̃ region of the United States and allows for many recreational activities. It is the home to beautiful scenery and inhabits a diverse wildlife. We offer a variety of campgrounds from traditional camping to a handful of isolated cabins. The park is always staffed with our experienced rangers who are equipped to handle anything. Contact our rangers for confirmation of campsite assignments and approval of fishing licenses.

Our Wildlife

Long View State Park is the proud home to a diverse ecosystem consisting of many species of fauna, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, birds, fish, insects, and other creatures. Many of the species are unique to our park and region. Because of this, we believe in natural preservation and allowing our wildlife to exist freely without any interference. It is important to respect our local friends and their space. Learn more about the local wilderness and feel free to document what you find and post it to the Long View Parks Forums.

Traverse Our Trails

Long View State Park has several trails for our visitors to traverse. Our trails vary in difficulty levels, ranging from beginner level walking paths to expert hiking and climbing trails. Please make sure to check our website, posted signage, and check in with our rangers to confirm which path is right for you. Some trails may be closed at time of visitation.

Our Founding

Gerald Williams III

Long View State Park was founded by a generous outdoors man, Gerald Williams III. While originally private property, the park was heavily secured by Williams. However after some convincing he was willing to donate the land and contribute to the creation of what is now known as Long View State Park. In the last years of his life, he became drawn to his home and refused to leave his cabin.
Gerald Williams III would later die at an old age in the fall of 1914, surrounded by loved ones on the property he once owned and buried near one of our cave systems at his own request to become one with the land.

Consider Donating

Long View State Park is able to run successfully due to our gracious doners. Consider becoming a part of the park and donate today.
